In the first World Padel League (WPL) championship, the Jaguars were victorious after winning against The Panthers 3-1 in the final match, held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, Emirates official news agency WAM reported on Sunday.

The top prize won by the champions was 550,000 dirhams, while the runners-up took home 275,000 dirhams.

Alejandra Salazar, Gemma Triay, Carolina Navarro, Franco Stupaczuk, Momo Gonzalez, Ibrahim Alabdulla is the group of athletes that formed the Jaguars and their coach Neki Berwig.

The event took place over two days and was organized as part of a partnership between the Dubai Sports Council and the emirate’s Department of Economy and Tourism, featuring a 28-player lineup of the world’s top padel stars.
