Canada shoots down an unknown object that was flying in its territory

An object of unknown origin was detected flying over Canadian territory at high altitude by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad), formed by the United States and Canada, during this weekend.

The discovery was made public after the United States shot down an unknown flying object over Alaska and shot down a balloon of Chinese origin that was allegedly used by Beijing for espionage tasks.

Planes from the United States and Canada participated in the operation to follow the device, although it was an American F-22 that ” shot successfully” against the object, detailed the prime minister, who coordinated with the president of the United States, Joe Biden.

Trudeau assured that the Canadian Armed Forces will recover the remains of the downed device for analysis.

US President Joe Biden ordered on Friday, shooting and shooting down an unidentified object hovering over frozen waters in the state of Alaska.

The White House has not given details of the origin of said object but it has explained that it was different from the Chinese balloon that was shot down last week after flying over several states of the United States.

The United States has accused the Chinese government of having developed, with the involvement of the Armed Forces, a “program” of balloons for espionage work and that have already flown over more than 40 countries on 5 continents.

The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, due to the discovery of said balloon, suspended a trip that he had planned to Beijing.

China defends that the balloon that the United States shot down last Saturday was a meteorological device that “deviated from its original course” by ” causes of force majeure.
